John graduated from Pace University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in public accounting before earning an MBA in taxation from St. John’s University. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. John is also a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and holds a Series 7 stockbroker license. John has been a registered representative with Avantax Investment ServicesSM and Avantax Advisory ServicesSM since 2001. He is one of the national broker-dealer’s top advisors, with assets under management* in excess of $100 million.
John has served as keynote speaker at various seminars and conferences throughout the United States, and he has lectured at Lutheran Medical Center, Mount Sinai Hospital, the NYU School of Dentistry, and the Greater New York Dental Meeting. His specialization as a dental practice CPA and CFP® as well as his focus on tax-smart strategies to create wealth have led to guest appearances on television shows such as NY1 News “Money Matters” and Fox News as well as published articles in Money Magazine, the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and many other publications.
John’s vast experience includes working with KPMG LLP, one of the “Big Four” CPA firms, where he specialized in audits of the medical and dental profession and the financial service industry. He has been an adjunct professor at St. Francis College, Wagner College, and St. John's University. John has been recognized as an advocate for promoting financial literacy and has been a lecturer throughout the New York City Public Library system.
